1. Working principle
This device is developed based on the principle that different components have different absorption characteristics for near-infrared light: water exhibits strong absorption characteristics for certain specific wavelengths of infrared light. When these specific wavelengths of infrared light are irradiated on materials, the water contained in the material will absorb some of the energy of the infrared light. The more water content there is, the more it absorbs. Therefore, the reduction in reflected light can be measured to calculate the moisture content of the material.
