In September 2021, the paper - "UWB+LoRa Based Environmental Monitoring System for Stockpiles" written by Jinan Xiangkong Control Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. was published in the journal "Internet of Things Technology", Vol. 11, No. 9, p. 3.

The development and application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology provides more technical options for real-time precise positioning monitoring of the stockpile. In this paper, we use UWB indoor wireless positioning technology and LoRa wireless transmission technology to design an environmental monitoring system for stockpile to achieve flexible change of stockpile monitoring location, plug-and-play acquisition of environmental data, reliable wireless transmission and accurate coordinate positioning environmental monitoring functions.

The system mainly includes intelligent wireless probe pole, UWB (ultra-wideband) positioning base station, site monitoring host and upper computer. The system design structure is shown in the figure：

The intelligent wireless probe rod is used to collect the environmental data of the stockpile and transmit the data to the site monitoring host through LoRa wireless module, while sending communication frames to the UWB positioning base station through the UWB positioning signature.
