Application of Near-Infrared Moisture Meters in Moisture Quality Control of Chinese Herbal Medicines in the Chinese Medicine Industry
The purpose of quality control in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is to ensure that the quality of TCM materials meets relevant standards and requirements, guaranteeing the efficacy and safety of TCM. In TCM quality control, the moisture content of medicinal materials is a very important factor.
Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy is a rapid, non-destructive method for measuring moisture, with advantages such as no need for sample preparation and measurement results being unaffected by object shape or other factors. II. Equipment Introduction
The FV series near-infrared moisture analyzer XKCON-NIR-MA-FV developed by our company operates based on the selective absorption characteristics of moisture at specific infrared wavelengths. Using near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy in TCM quality control, it can accurately and stably measure the moisture content of TCM materials.

The near-infrared moisture meter XKCON-NIR-MA-FV consists of two parts: an infrared probe and a main controller. The infrared probe is installed in a suspended manner above the conveyor, while the main controller is wall-mounted in a location convenient for data viewing.
Moisture Measurement: Utilizing infrared principles, it conducts online dynamic continuous moisture measurements of Chinese medicinal materials on the production line;
On-site Display: The main controller is equipped with a high-resolution color touch screen, automatically updating and displaying the real-time moisture content of herbal medicines in numerical form, facilitating on-site viewing;
Data Transmission: The device is equipped with multiple interfaces such as RS485, 4-20mA, RS232, LAN, and LORA, capable of adapting to various networked supervision requirements, with strong anti-interference capability;
Networked Monitoring: It supports the integration with other devices or control systems such as PLC and DCS to form a Chinese medicinal material moisture monitoring system for centralized supervision and regulation, achieving automated control of medicinal material moisture content.
