1.Application Background

The coal conveyor belt is prone to various accidents during operation, such as belt transverse breakage, longitudinal tearing, slippage, runout and wear of the rollers and rotation jamming. In order to ensure the normal operation of the coal conveyor belt, it is necessary to continuously monitor it in real time.

The traditional manual inspection method has a large number of disadvantages, such as labor intensity, low efficiency, low detection quality, single means and personal safety is difficult to protect, etc., and with the inspection workload is increasingly large and a variety of harsh environmental constraints, inspection work is unable to ensure quality and quantity of completion. In order to avoid the above situation, intelligent track inspection robot technology has become an important means to achieve the inspection in this environment.

2.System Composition

Intelligent track inspection robot system consists of running track, robot body, wireless communication base station, video monitoring system and remote operation system, etc. It is an automatic equipment integrating mechanical, electronic, computer, mobile communication, robot and explosion-proof technologies with small size, compact structure and smooth operation.


3.System Functions

3.1Abnormal sound alarm function

The robotic platform is capable of capturing the sound of the inspection site in real time, and can accurately and quickly distinguish abnormal sounds among them to activate the alarm function.

3.2Infrared thermal image acquisition, temperature alarm function

The robot platform is equipped with an infrared thermal camera, which can obtain infrared thermal images of objects around the inspection route in real time, and after processing by intelligent algorithms, the corresponding temperature can be obtained, thus enabling timely warning of abnormal temperature conditions of objects such as belt motors, reducers, rollers, pallets, and cables along the route.

3.3Smoke detection function

The robot platform is equipped with smoke sensors to enable smoke detection around the inspection route.

3.4Environmental detection function

Through the robot platform equipped with various types of environmental detectors, it can realize the detection and analysis of flammable, explosive, toxic and hazardous gases.

3.5Image acquisition function

In a low-light, high-concentration dust environment, image acquisition of objects around the inspection route can be achieved through multiple high-definition cameras carried on the robot platform.
