Infrared thermal imaging monitoring system for petroleum and petrochemical industries

2021-05-241800
Many important equipment in petrochemical production work under high temperature and pressure conditions, such as power, electrical and auxiliary equipment such as raw materials. In order to detect problems early, ensure safe production operations and prolong the service life of the equipment, strict online monitoring of the production process is required, and infrared thermal imaging systems are an ideal choice.
The imaging principle of infrared thermal imaging camera relies on the temperature difference to imaging, as long as the measured object has a temperature difference of 0.05°, the infrared thermal imaging monitoring system can distinguish it and imaging visual display. In the production, storage and transportation process, any fire point or abnormally high temperature is worth alerting.
Infrared thermal imaging system consists of explosion-proof infrared thermal imaging camera head, data transfer box, site master control cabinet and central control room upper monitoring platform. It has the features of intuitive visualization, remote viewing, no need to contact, 24-hour real-time monitoring and warning, which can avoid major losses caused by untimely discovery.
Application Scenarios:
1.Oil and gas storage
In tank farms and transfer stations, thermal imaging cameras monitor tanks, valves, pipelines and isolated areas to prevent fires from igniting leaking oil and gas.
2. Chemical Storage
In large storage warehouses for chemical products, only a few thermal imaging cameras are needed to cover a warehouse, providing reliable, consistent early warning of fire with near zero false alarms.
3.Critical equipment condition monitoring
Compressors, reactors, valves, etc. are key equipment in the petrochemical industry, and unexpected failures can cause large production interruptions. Temperature is one of the important indicators reflecting the working status of the system. By monitoring the temperature distribution on the surface of the equipment, we can instantly understand the working status of the equipment, and once the temperature of the system is abnormal, alarm will be given immediately to prevent the equipment from going down leading to production interruption and threatening production safety. Reactors often work under high temperature and pressure conditions, and the consequences are often serious once an accident occurs; real-time monitoring of the temperature field on the outer surface of the reactor and analysis of its temperature change potential can assess the thickness of internal refractory or scaling, helping managers to make production and maintenance plans; at the same time, accidents can be avoided.
4.Waste incinerator thermal oil leak monitoring
In the production process of chemical enterprises, a large amount of organic waste liquid will be produced, which is mainly treated by waste liquid incinerator; its thermal oil circulation system has risks such as leakage of thermal oil pump body, leakage of thermal oil from furnace head pipeline, leakage of oil from meter head of instrument group, etc. If not found in time, once the thermal oil comes into contact with the high temperature furnace body, a fire is very likely to occur, threatening plant safety.
5.Perimeter security monitoring
Oil depots, gas stations, refining plants, etc. are security heavy places, prohibiting unrelated personnel from approaching or trespassing, and these security heavy places are very likely to become the object of attack. At present, mainly through the electronic fence plus vibration cable or infrared to the perimeter protection, but the high rate of false alarms make the duty staff and managers headache, so that in most cases directly shut down the alarm function; some places will also install CCTV high-definition cameras for monitoring, but in the dark or foggy weather will be completely useless, and CCTV monitoring also requires a strong sense of responsibility of the duty staff.
Infrared thermal imaging monitoring system has low false alarm rate, wide monitoring range, perimeter customization, automatic alarm for intrusion, and security protection for the perimeter even in the dark and foggy weather when you can't see your fingers.
6.Gas leak detection
Refineries need to ensure the absolute safety of their environment and operations with the help of cutting-edge technology. Thermal imaging cameras can also be used to identify sources of volatile organic compound (VOC) leaks, thus ensuring timely repair of leaking components. State-of-the-art VOC detection ensures that companies can improve operational safety, increase productivity and maximize the prevention and remediation of all leak hazards.
