Grain silo environmental monitoring system

I. System Introduction

During the storage period, the grain pile ecosystem undergoes a series of changes due to its own metabolism, as well as the hazards of insects, molds and bacteria, combined with the impact of environmental changes. Therefore, in order to ensure the long-term preservation of grain, the air temperature and humidity in the grain silo needs to be monitored in real time to maintain the right temperature and humidity storage conditions in the silo.

The system adopts industry-leading embedded system control technology, intelligent sensor technology, digital communication technology and artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technology, which can automatically sense and monitor the changes of temperature, humidity and related gas concentration in the granary, and link with the heating, cooling, dehumidification and ventilation equipment in the granary, and can also be manually controlled according to actual needs, so that the temperature, moisture and effective concentration and ratio of gas in the granary can be maintained in a stable state, thus ensuring the safety of the granary.

II. System Composition

Grain silo environmental monitoring system mainly consists of data collection terminal, on-site host, and upper computer monitoring platform.

1)Data Acquisition Terminal:

Through various intelligent sensor sensing terminals, the temperature, humidity, nitrogen and other environmental information in the grain silo is collected in real time.

2)Live host:

It collects data from field sensing terminals; it has functions of real-time data display, over-limit alarm, equipment linkage and history memorialization; it can upload data to the supervisor monitoring platform through wired or wireless communication.

3)Upper computer monitoring platform:

Parsing and processing the data uploaded by the field host, realizing the functions of real-time display, over-limit alarm, historical query, report output, data backup, etc.


III. System functions

1)Temperature and humidity, O2, CO2 and other gas monitoring in grain silos

The corresponding sensors are deployed in the grain silo to monitor the ambient temperature and humidity in the silo in real time, as well as the content of various monitored gases, and have a historical data query function.

2)Equipment linkage control

Cooling, moisture dispersion, ventilation is a more frequent and hard work in the daily management of the warehouse, and often needs to be turned on in the middle of the night. The realization of automatic switching of warehouse windows, refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment is of great significance to improve work efficiency and reduce labor intensity.

The on-site host can analyze the mathematical model of temperature and humidity that has been set according to the requirements of the grain storage environment, and automatically calculate and control the status of equipment such as heating, cooling, humidity reduction, ventilation, etc. It can also control the equipment at regular intervals according to the manually set values.

3)Over limit alarm

Users can set the upper and lower limits of certain parameter indicators, and compare and analyze the measured values with the manually set exceeded values according to the data. If the measured values exceed the set range, an alarm will be displayed on the screen of the monitoring platform through the upper computer or an audible and visual alarm will be provided on site.
